John Creswell joins FIA with comprehensive experience in the asset management industry and a record of success in sales, sales management, product development, and management. He has extensive knowledge of capital markets, credit related strategies, industry trends, and corporate governance. At FIA he will focus on bringing the firms capabilities to the institutional market and working closely with the top investment consulting firms.

Creswell joins FIA from Nuveen Investments where he spent the last 12 years, most recently, as Managing Director and Co-Director of the firm's Taxable Fixed Income unit. Under his leadership, Nuveen's Taxable Fixed Income unit experienced significant growth and successfully launched a number of innovative products, including currency and credit strategies. Prior to that, Creswell was Managing Director of the Private Client Group of Nuveen's Institutional Services Group, where he helped build and grow Nuveen's presence in the Institutional and High-Net-Worth marketplace globally. He is a frequent industry speaker on capital markets and has authored numerous articles. Before coming to Nuveen, Creswell worked as an auditor and management consultant for Ernst & Young.

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Creswell holds a degree in Business Administration from California State University at Fullerton, a master's degree in Public Policy from The Claremont Graduate University, and the Certified Investment Management Associate (CIMA) designation from The Wharton School. Creswell also serves on the Board of Directors of By The Hand Club for Kids.

Creswell and his family reside in Chicago, Illinois.
