


Paul Horng, CFA, joined Fridson Investment Advisors as an analyst in May, 2008. Previously Horng worked as a high yield bond investment analyst for JETZ Capital Management.
Horng brings broad research experience and perspective to the FIA team. Conversant in both Mandarin and Taiwanese, Horng evaluated primary and secondary market bank loan and high yield bond investment opportunities in a wide array of industries including energy, publishing and wireless telecom while serving as an associate at ORIX Capital Markets. While there, Horng built and maintained financial models and industry specific relative value spreadsheets to identify investment and trade opportunities.
In addition, Horng worked for several years with the independent forensic accounting firm, 2nd Opinion Research. There Horng applied his equity research expertise to option-adjusted free cash flow and cultivated a particular talent for discussing his recommendations with hedge fund and mutual fund clients. Horng began his career at the equity proprietary trading desk of Enron.
Horng graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in business administration, majoring in finance with concentrations in accounting and English. He became a CFA Charterholder in 2003. A native of Texas, Horng currently resides in Manhattan.
