Sean Bailey

Sean Bailey joined Fridson Investment Advisors (FIA), in June 2008, as Director of Business Development. FIA is a research driven investment management firm comprising many award winning names in the financial industry. Bailey brings a 30-year record of success in investment banking, sales, and sales management to the position, having worked with and for some of the most reputable names on Wall Street.

Prior to joining FIA in June 2008, Bailey started two companies of his own. Bailey Ventures, an investment banking firm and Baseline Management, an organization created to address transparency and modeling issues in the insurance industry.

Bailey's career started in 1978 when he was hired by Xerox and, in his first year, became the top territory sales representative for the Northeast Region of the country. In 1980, he accepted a similar position at Paine Webber. While at Paine Webber, Bailey experienced four successful years in mortgage backed security sales before joining Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1984. Bailey served as the head of the mortgage banking unit at Drexel until 1990 when he was given an opportunity with Daiwa Securities. While at Daiwa, Bailey was a member of a team in charge of indentifying esoteric trading opportunities and creating new mortgage backed products. Bailey's prestigious career also saw successful stops at Deutsche Bank, UBS, and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Bailey and his wife of 24 years, Barbara, reside in New York and have two sons; Sean a senior at Georgetown University and Ryan a sophomore and the University of Pennsylvania.
