Vince Kong joins Fridson Investment Advisors as an analyst. Kong joins an established group of professionals, where he will build and maintain financial models. This new endeavor builds upon previous original research co-authored by Kong and Fridson for the 2009 winter issue of The Journal of Portfolio Management.

Previously, Kong worked as a financial analyst at a consulting firm specializing in providing solutions to insurance operators. This experience included building financial models to identify investment opportunities and mitigate catastrophe risk within a company’s portfolio.

Between 2005 and 2006, Kong worked at a boutique investment firm, providing financial modeling and trading assistance to a fixed-income hedge fund.

Kong graduated from Purdue University with degrees in Mathematics & Statistics and Computer Engineering. He is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. Kong currently resides with his wife in Brooklyn.
